Green Male “Oliver”
Coat: Cream, Wavy-straight coat
Approximant Adult Weight: 45-50
Oliver has recently come out of his observing faze and is really attentive to training and commands. I wasn't sure what personality I would see in Oliver but he is very intelligent, laid back, calm he reads to me as a working dog I think he would do wonderful with kids but may be a better fit for an older child, a single adult or elder/couple. Excellent with kids but very low key. He is excellent in his crate would be a wonderful car rider or possibly a bird dog. He is among the first 4 that will sit on command, again very attentive and confident!
ADOPTED
6 week Assesment done by Aiden Lundy @ Really Good Pets LLC
Oliver: Lower energy, food drive low, toy drive low. May not be interested in exploring new stimuli, though does seem to tolerate some new stimuli okay. Tolerates handling but may need help with handling in the future. Does not seem interested in interacting with new people very much. No food guarding detected at this time.
The above assessment has been done to test puppies current state of being able to adapt and cope with nuance people, situations, surfaces, sounds and daily household items. This assessment can help determine a type of personality but obviously all puppies need training and various exposures especially socialization. We always would love your updates on puppies and please ask us any questions about behavior and management. Really Good Pets is a dog/puppy Trainer we will attach info in puppy go home bags.
My opinion on the assessment.
The Low food drive doesn’t fit, now this could’ve been that Oliver had just not had the drive until after Aiden gave him the treats. I hadn’t “treat” trained yet, wanting the test to be organic. Oliver is one that runs to do tricks for treats!
I agree that Oliver can be stand offish, I don’t think personally it is a temperament problem or anything along the lines of that, I think he just cares when he cares and doesn’t when he doesn’t. that to me screams poodle that he has a lot of genetically.
At this time, I’m Leaving Olivers Price the same. I have Gone back and forth on Oliver over Rubble 1 because he has a bigger interest in tricks for treats, but he is also standing out more in agility and overall behavior. House training being a big one, Oliver is very intelligent.
