6 week assessment done by Aiden Lundy @ Really Good Pets LLC
Murphy shows no food guarding at this time. She shows a strong interest in unfamiliar humans and being with people. She shows signs of being easily distracted by stimuli around and does not stay focused on one stimulus for too long. She shows a moderate food drive and lure/prey drive. Murphy was easy to lure into a sit position. Murphy displayed one instance of retrieval instinct but did not show it again despite multiple attempts. However, her handler focus is strong enough she may be able to easily learn a retrieve with proper training. Murphy shows signs of being more activated/animated when stressed. She will inspect most stressful stimuli with human assistance, which will help during proper socialization. Murphy is more energetic in nature. She may need some assistance with handling. She allows handling but becomes wiggly when handled.
The above assessment has been done to test puppies current state of being able to adapt and cope with nuance people, situations, surfaces, sounds and daily household items. This assessment can help determine a type of personality but obviously all puppies need training and various exposures especially socialization. We always would love your updates on puppies and please ask us any questions about behavior and management. Really Good Pets is a dog/puppy Trainer we will attach info in puppy go home bags
My observations on Murphy, she is a little ball of joy! Brian will be so sad when she leaves, she always runs to greet him when he gets home. Murphy is turned up when she is outside, she runs and plays, she chases the ball with Mavis and Hazel, but she calms down when she goes in her crate or inside. Crate training with Murphy took a little more effort but she is content in the crate now. Potty trained, goes to the door. 8 weeks
With all puppies the proper place to potty will need to be taught in your home and I recommend either really watching when they are on new surfaces or maybe even pulling rugs the first week.
