Black Male “Cotton”
Color : Cream, wavy non-shedding
Approximant Adult Weight : 35-40 Pounds
Cotton is very sweet and loving but always wants your attention, this isn’t a bad thing but will require some additional attention and training. Cotton will be very loyal and attached to his human. Possible good fits would be a child wanting a companion with parents that will help with enforcing schedule. Cotton has a high food drive and prowls and pounces my chicks in our back yard, he could be trained to hunt. Cotton is the one puppy that has had a hard time with the crate, he doesn’t like it and will have a hard time adapting but is doing great with house training.
Cotton was donated to a young boy and will start his journey to become a service dog!
I’m starting Cotton out lower only because a family that wants this sweet boy will need to work with him on crate training and I also notice he digs & chases (my chickens). This can be broken obviously but he will need stimulation! I suspect he will have very good Temperament Test results, but he is a high energy puppy and will need an active family or person as a family! Cotton has a ton of potential, but I don’t believe he needs to go to a family that is gone at work all day unless he can go along!
6-week assessment done by Aiden Lundy @ Really Good Pets LLC
Cotton: Interested in unfamiliar humans. May only need a little help during socialization with new humans. Sensitive to barking from siblings/other dogs. Retrieval instinct detected. Investigates most startling stimuli on own or with a little help, tolerant of new stimuli but does show some stress signals with sniffing, scratching, and moving away or moving behind human. Lure toy drive detected. Might need some handling help with objects and restraint. Food drive mid to high.
The above assessment has been done to test puppies current state of being able to adapt and cope with nuance people, situations, surfaces, sounds and daily household items. This assessment can help determine a type of personality but obviously all puppies need training and various exposures especially socialization. We always would love your updates on puppies and please ask us any questions about behavior and management. Really Good Pets is a dog/puppy Trainer we will attach info in puppy go home bags.
My opinion on Cotton’s test, I absolutely agree! Cotton was taken outside to wake up he did beautifully and his assessment matches what I see daily! Cotton is a sweet very loving puppy, he is always excited to see us in the morning, the kids when they get home from school and Brian when he gets home. I had brought Cotton down for digging, from $2,000.00 to $1,500.00. The “NO DIG” correction is going very well & he is a puppy and curious, puppies do all the things! That being said even though I want to partner with someone in the future and train bird dogs unfortunately I’m not there yet. Cotton wants to work and if he can’t work or hunt, he will need kids for sure. For this reason, I’m going to bring his price down more, I want Cotton to be in a home with crazy fun-loving kids like he has so far grown up with hopefully their dad bird hunts but that could be a long shot.
