Birdies Assessment 6 week results by Aiden Lundy @ Really Good Pets
Birdie: Instinctual retrieve, some interest in lure toys. Likes tug. Food drive high. Easy to lure sit and down. Does recover from startle responses well, checks out startling objects with support. Does not show food guarding at this time. Shows interest in humans and has a tendency to follow humans. May need some help with accepting objects touching body like leashes, harnesses, etc.
The above assessment has been done to test puppies current state of being able to adapt and cope with nuance people, situations, surfaces, sounds and daily household items. This assessment can help determine a type of personality but obviously all puppies need training and various exposures especially socialization. We always would love your updates on puppies and please ask us any questions about behavior and management. Really Good Pets is a dog/puppy Trainer we will attach info in puppy go home bags.
Birdies assessment went exactly as expected. Birdie is a very adaptable puppy she stands out for many reasons! honestly, I would love to keep her but I’m no dummy I know how popular the merle coat is to some people and it is icing on the cake for her perfect behavior. Birds as we call her loves everyone so much, she is such a princess around here. She runs and greets Brian everyday, she is a snuggle bug and super smart. She knows when a grab the treats and comes running to show off. Birdie can sit and shake already. Birdie does good in the crate even though she had a bit of a hard time at first. Birdie is house trained but all puppies will need to be taught the proper place to go in your home.
